Insurance Specialist – Medical & Life

Function
Monitor over all functioning of the GLPA & Medical department including Renewals, New business, Endorsements, and Claims handling.
Review new Business & Renewal Proposals for GLPA and Medical Insurance.
Renewal Meeting with the marketing staff.
Conduct new business file discussions with marketing team to understand the requirements.
Arrange New Business proposals to meet the customer requirements.
Negotiate with insurers for terms and benefits as per clients’ requirements.
Resolve matters with insurers in the best interest of our clients.
Handle escalations in the most effective manner.
Ensure retention of all existing renewals.
Conduct team meetings, work allocation and trainings
to ensure maximum team performance & productivity.
Coordinate with insurers and provider’s / clients in
getting the claim approvals / pre-approvals.
Monitor the claims process and timely settlement.

Skills

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Well-versed with computer programs and good command of MS Office, particularly of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize own workload.
Strong attention to detail and keen sense of accuracy in preparing official documentation.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly and thrive in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a team player.

Experience Requirements

Ideal candidates should have prior Customer Service and Administrative experience.

Education Requirements

A diploma or a Degree in the relevant field
