    • Assigned as an Engineering Intern (Trainee) in Borouge, a joint venture between the ADNOC group and Borealis, Austria.
      • Completed an investigation of the failure modes of a Debutanizer reflux pump with the Maintenance Department.
      • Successfully presented a theoretical optimization of the repair cycle of the debutanizer pump in order to improve reliability (9% downtime reduction)

 

  • The Petroleum Institute, Sas Al Nakhl, Student Assistant, January 2014 - August 2015
    • Worked as a Student Assistant for the Communication Department. Responsibilities included transcribing audio/video logs, analyzing journal texts for use of language and peer tutoring.
      • Average performance of freshmen in Communication classes improved from C- to B- and from D to C+ for students from non-English speaking schools.
      • Usage of passive voice in technical writing increased by 21% in sophomores, referencing errors reduced by 11% in freshmen.
