Projects:

  • Investigate and resolve low Downstream Modulation Error Ratio (MER) causing modems to drop offline which was traced to newly installed low port-to-port isolation combiners which didn’t attenuate signal reflection adequately. Replaced combiners with high port-to-port isolation model saving my company nearly $100k including truck rolls, engineering time, and customer cancellations
  • Investigate and resolve Downstream Modulation Error Ratio (MER) fluctuation which was traced to Motorola Broadband Service Router (BSR) RF cards and replace Power MOSFETs to repair the cards saving the company thousands of dollars
  • Design and configure a network alert system using Solarwinds IP Monitor to reduce manual network inspection, proactively anticipate major issues and correct them.
  • Install and configure Mean Opinion Score (MOS) server to monitor and early detect VOIP audio issues such as compression, delay and Jitter through techs Communication Analyzers.
  • Complete company network audit, software license audit and detailed physical diagram
